On Thursday, 16 September 2021, the Royal Thai Embassy in Nur-Sultan organised a hybrid seminar on “Exploring cooperation and trade of Thai halal products with Kazakhstan and Central Asia” which was attended by participants from the halal standards and verification agencies, related government ministries and agencies, and representatives of businesses from both Thailand and Kazakhstan. Both sides provided information on their respective halal industries and standards, and discussed cooperation between Thailand and Kazakhstan on Thai halal products. The seminar also examined the potential to enhance trade of halal products between the two countries, and explored the potential of exporting Thai halal products to Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan’s role as a distribution hub to other markets in Central Asia.
