On 11 September 2016, The Royal Thai Embassy assigned Mr. Seri Muttatarn, Minister Counsellor, and Mr. Sakollawat Thongcharoen, Counsellor, to travel to the city of Atyrau under the mobile consular project in order to assist/serve Thai workers who work for the oil extraction companies, namely Sicim and NSS.  The companies are in Tengiz district, around 350 k.m. from Atyrau.  There are 46 Thai workers.
