On 2 July 2025, H.E. Mrs. Piyapin Niyomrerks, Ambassador of Thailand to Kazakhstan, attended the Amazing Thailand Roadshow to CIS Countries 2025, organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Moscow Office, and held at the Sheraton Astana Hotel. The event brought together over 120 Thai and Kazakhstani tourism businesses, including 26 Thai tourism operators. The event featured various activities, including a tourism briefing by the Phuket Tourist Association, business matching with Kazakhstani counterparts, and presentations of Thai tourism products and services.

In her remarks, the Ambassador highlighted the important role of tourism in strengthening Thailand–Kazakhstan relations as well as the objective of the event to foster business cooperation and networking opportunities between the tourism sectors of both countries. She also noted that the roadshow builds upon the success of the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025 event held in Almaty in April. The Roadshow also served as a platform to share updated information on the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025, which aims to promote Thailand as a year-round destination and to reaffirm Thailand’s readiness to welcome Kazakhstani tourists, citing that more than 200,000 visitors from Kazakhstan travelled to Thailand in 2024, and approximately 100,000 more visited during the first five months of 2025.

On this occasion, the Ambassador together with Ms. Kanchana Sing-udom, Director of TAT Moscow Office and Ms. Pornsiri Chardpornpun, Director of TAT’s European Division also gave an interview to Kazakhstani tourism media in which she discussed Thailand’s tourism promotion plans tailored to the preferences of Kazakhstani travellers, the calendar of major festivals to be held in Thailand, as well as Thailand’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of visitors. She further emphasized the importance of effectively promoting Thailand in the Kazakhstani market through public outreach.

The Amazing Thailand Roadshow to CIS Countries 2025 was held across two countries and three cities—on 30 June 2025 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan; 2 July in Astana; and 4 July in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
