On 8 July 2025, H.E. Mrs. Piyapin Niyomrerks, Ambassador of Thailand to Kazakhstan, hosted a welcoming dinner for the Thai national youth and junior weightlifting team, led by Team Manager Air Marshal Wattanachai Jaroenrattana, who participated in the 2025 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships, held in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan, from 4 to 10 July 2025.

On this occasion, the Ambassador extended heartfelt congratulations to the athletes, coaches, team managers and staff for their outstanding achievement in bringing pride to Thailand, having won a total of 17 medals:

This remarkable performance reflects the potential and determination of Thailand’s young weightlifters.

The Ambassador also discussed and exchanged views with coaches and officials from the Thai Amateur Weightlifting Association about the role of sports in inspiring young people.
