On 26 March 2026, Her Excellency Mrs. Piyapin Niyomrerks, Ambassador of Thailand to Kazakshtan, welcomed a delegation from Wichai Wittaya School, Chiang Mai, led by Mr. Totsapron Tha-ai, on the occasion of their visit to Astana to participate in INFOMATRIX ASIA 2026, held from 25 to 27 March 2026.

INFOMATRIX ASIA is an international competition in technology, innovation, and science for youth from various countries. It aims to promote creativity, strengthen skills in science and technology, and support the development of innovative projects with practical applications. On this occasion, the students from Wichai Wittaya School achieved commendable results. In the Start-up category, Mr. Farose Luksanaphirom and Mr. Tibet Atabut were awarded the Silver Medal for their project SOLEVAET. In the Applied Science category, Mr. Pheeratat Sangrueang, Mr. Tanakit Chonwinthaiwanatorn, and Mr. Phongphol Moolpong received the Bronze Medal for their project of Natural Rubber Multilayer Medical Insole for Plantar Pressure Reduction and Diabetic Foot Ulcer Prevention. 

The Ambassador congratulated the students on the achievement and for bringing pride to Thailand on the international stage. She also emphasized the importance of developing skills in science, technology, and innovation as key drivers for the country’s future development.
