On 2 July 2025, H.E. Mrs. Piyapin Niyomrerks, Ambassador of Thailand to Kazakhstan, hosted a dinner in honour of Mr. Chalam Attatham, Chief Executive, Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization (PPAO), Mr. Thaneth Tantipiriyakij, President of the Phuket Tourist Association, and Ms. Kanchana Sing-udom, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Moscow Office, along with representatives from TAT, the Phuket Tourist Association, and the Phuket Provincial Administration Organization. The delegation was visiting Kazakhstan as part of the Amazing Thailand Roadshow to CIS Countries 2025, held from 30 June to 4 July 2025.

During the welcoming dinner, the Ambassador held discussions with the delegation on opportunities, ways to address growing competition in the Kazakhstani tourism market, as well as the potential for enhancing tourism cooperation between Thailand and Kazakhstan. The discussions also explored possible areas to expand collaboration in related areas, such as targeted promotional campaigns, organizing visits or internship programmes between Kazakhstan and Phuket. These efforts form a vital foundation for promoting tourism and advancing long-term and sustainable economic cooperation between the two countries.
