On 25 September 2023, H.E. Mr. Chatchawan Sakornsin, Ambassador of Thailand to Kazakhstan, joined Air Astana’s flight no. KC 563 (Almaty - Phuket), which was the first auspicious flight to bring Kazakh tourists to Thailand after the Royal Thai Government’s policy to exempt 30-day visa for Kazakh tourists from 25 September 2023 until 29 February 2024 has been initiated.

In this connection, Ambassador admires the work of TAT, especially Mr. Siripakorn Cheawsamoot, Deputy Governor of TAT for International Marketing in Europe, Africa, Middle East and the Americas, and the Director of TAT, Moscow Office, who have been pushing for this incessantly. And a number of Kazakh tourists to Thailand is now expected to grow 2.5 times more than the COVID-19 period, resulting in billions of baht of income to Thailand.
