On 16 July 2023, H.E. Ambassador Chatchawan Sakornsin, Ambassador of Thailand to Kazakhstan, brought Thai food and gave encouragement to the National Youth Roller Ski Team from Thailand participating in FIS Roller Ski World Cup, Mass Start, Classic 16 km. for junior female athletes, and 20 km. for junior male athletes, held in Shchuchinsk, Kazakhstan. Ambassador Chatchawan took a try on the roller skiing and found out that it is not as easy as it looks. Roller ski is a new kind of sport and there are not many places available for training in Thailand. After having tried the sport by himself, Ambassador Chatchawan was very impressed with how the Thai national youth team managed to win over some other teams from the same Asian region during the competition.
