The Royal Embassy in Astana Implemented the Medical Research Collaboration between Thailand and the Central Asian Countries

On 27 July - 4 August 2024, Ambassador Chatchawan Sakornsin, Ambassador of Thailand to Kazakhstan, had entrusted Dr. Orathai Phubunlap Gunaseelan to lead a delegation of 6 medical doctors from Kazakhstan and Tajikistan to visit Thailand as part of the Embassy’s project to promote medical research collaboration between Thailand and the Central Asian Countries. The project was co-sponsored by Samitivej Hospitals and BNH Hospital of Thailand. During their participation in the project, the medical doctors from the Central Asian countries took part in the study-visits to different hospitals of Samitivej Hospitals Group in Pattaya and Bangkok. They also held discussions with the executives of the Hospitals Group on ways and means to further cooperate in medical and healthcare sphere as well as medical education field between Thailand and Kazakhstan, and Thailand and Tajikistan.
