H.E. Mr. Chatchawan Sakornsin, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Tajikistan, with residence in Astana, has entrusted Dr. Orathai Phubunlap Gunaseeelan, Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy in Asana, to welcome and facilitate Dr. Surasri Kidtimonton, Secretary General of the Office of the National Water Resources of Thailand and the Special Envoy of the Royal Thai Government, and the Thai delegation, for the 3rd High-Level International Conference on International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018 – 2028, organized in Dushanbe, the Republic of Tajikistan, between 10 - 13 June 2024. The aim of the Conference was to follow up on commitments made by the UN's Member States during the UN 2023 Water Conference and accelerate actions towards achieving the SDG Goal 6 that ensures access to water and sanitation for all. The Conference’s opening ceremony was chaired by Mr. Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, and was attended by high-level delegations from more than 75 countries.
