On 4 December 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy hosted a National Day Reception at the St. Regis Astana Hotel. The event was presided over by H.E. Mrs. Piyapin Niyomrerks and Mr. Serik Maratovich Zharasbayev, Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan, as Guest of Honour. The reception was attended by distinguised guests including H.E. Mr. Kairat Sarybay, Secretary-General of CICA, Mr. Yergalym Nursalimuly, Director-General of the Asia-Pacific Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Mr. Yerzhan Yerkinbayev, CEO of Kazakh Tourism Development, Mr. Kaisar Yerkinbayev, Advisor to the Minister of Science and Higher Education as well as members of the diplomatic corps, government agencies, the private sector, and the Friends of Thailand network.

The Ambassador paid tribute before the royal portrait of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and the royal portrait of His Majesty the King, before inviting distinguished guests to observe a moment of silence in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, followed by the screening of a tribute video “Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother: A Legacy that Touched the World”.

The Ambassador then delivered remarks honouring His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, whose lifelong devotion to the well-being of the Thai people and numerous contributions to national development—including the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) —continue to guide and inspire generations. She also highlighted the dynamic growth of Thailand–Kazakhstan relations over the past three decades, particularly through the strong growth of tourism — a key factor in deepening people-to-people interactions between the two countries. Both nations, she noted, hold significant potential to further advance cooperation in various dimensions, grounded in shared values and mutually beneficial aspirations.

Mr. Serik Maratovich Zharasbayev, Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan, congratulated Thailand on this important occasion and reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation across all sectors.

The Ambassador concluded by inviting guests to join in a toast to His Majesty the King and to the continued friendship and partnership between Thailand and Kazakhstan.
