On 26 April 2026, Her Excellency Mrs. Piyapin Niyomrerks, Ambassador of Thailand to Kazakhstan, together with officials and their families, and staff of the Royal Thai Embassy in Astana, participated in the CICA Spring Charity Bazaar held at the Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA). On this occasion, the Royal Thai Embassy showcased popular Thai cuisine, including Tom Yum and Pad Thai, as well as Thai food products and other Thai goods, which attracted considerable interest from visitors. The event provided an excellent opportunity to promote Thailand’s Soft Power, particularly in the areas of cuisine and tourism. The Royal Thai Embassy donated all proceeds from its participation in the event to the CICA Secretariat to support its ongoing social activities.
The CICA Spring Charity Bazaar was organized for the first time with the objective of encouraging generosity, civic responsibility, and volunteerism, while fostering people-to-people connections through the showcasing of the cultural diversity of CICA Member States and Observers. The event featured participation from more than 20 Embassies and International Organizations in Astana, and welcomed over 1,000 visitors. It served as an important platform to enhance mutual understanding among participating countries and to further strengthen the role of CICA in connecting peoples across Asia through meaningful and creative initiatives.
