On 11 November 2025, Mrs. Piyapin Niyomrerks, Ambassador of Thailand to Kazakhstan, hosted a dinner in honor of Ms. Asel Suankulova, Managing Director of the Investment Promotion and Market Department, accompanied by Ms. Aliya Abdildina, Country Officer (Asian region), Investment Promotion and Market Department of Kazakh Invest, as well as Mr. Yerzhan Shakargaliyev, Director of the Department of Tariff and Non-Tariff Measures of QazTrade. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange information and views on ways to further promote economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Thailand and Kazakhstan, as well as to explore potential new opportunities for collaboration in the Central Asian region in the future.

Kazakh Invest, a national investment promotion agency under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, is responsible for facilitating and attracting foreign investment into the country. Meanwhile, QazTrade, under the Ministry of Trade and Integration, plays a key role in promoting Kazakhstan’s exports and shaping its international trade policies. The engagement with executives of both institutions of Kazakhstan marks an important step toward building a proactive and long-term economic cooperation between Thailand and Kazakhstan, reinforcing the sustainable growth of bilateral relations.
