On 10 June 2025, Dr. Orathai Phubunlap Gunaseelan, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Astana, led a delegation of the Embassy officials in a meeting with Dr. Arken Arystanov, Chairman of the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development (KazAID), to explore opportunities for advancing development diplomacy between Thailand and Kazakhstan.

The two sides engaged in fruitful discussions on strengthening collaboration between the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) and KazAID, with a focus on implementing joint projects and activities in areas of shared interest and potential. Particular attention was given to enhancing human security through four key priority areas: health, employment, food security, and energy and environment. This cooperation reflects both countries’ strong commitment to South-South Cooperation and the shared pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
