On 19 October 2024, Dr. Orathai Phubunlap Gunaseelan, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i., led the official together with the spouse, and the staff of the Royal Thai Embassy in Astana, in the friendly badminton tournament between the Astana ASEAN Committee (AAC) and the Kazakhstan Badminton Club. The tournament was organized by the Indonesian Embassy in Kazakhstan to promote relations and cooperation between AAC, comprising the Royal Thai Embassy in Astana, the Embassies of Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam in Kazakhstan, and personnel from various sectors of Kazakhstan, who practice badminton on a regular basis.
