On 2 June 2024, Mrs. Orathai Phubunlap Gunaseelan, Chargé affairs, a.i., participated in the CICA Bike Tour 2024 in the Burabay region of Kazakhstan. The event was co-organized by the CICA Secretariat, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, the Embassies of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan (as Troika of the CICA Chairmanship), and the United Nations in Kazakhstan. More than 50 participants from diplomatic missions and international organizations in Kazakhstan, officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, and local authorities of the Akmola region took part in the event. The CICA Bike Tour 2024 is held annually to celebrate the World Bicycle Day on 3 June to encourage the world’s population to stop driving cars, including motorcycles, and adopt bicycles that are environmentally friendly and as a mean for a healthy lifestyle.
