On 23 April 2025, H.E. Mrs. Piyapin Niyomrerks, Ambassador of Thailand to Kazakhstan, met with Mr. Mirgali Kunayev, Honorary Consul of Thailand in Almaty, at the Office of the Honorary Consulate. The meeting aimed to discuss ways to further promote people-to-people relations between Thailand and Kazakhstan, particularly the protection and welfare of Thai nationals residing, working, or traveling in Almaty and its surrounding areas. On this occasion, Ambassador Piyapin expressed appreciation for the continued efforts of Mr. Kunayev and Mrs. Saule Tassybayeva, Secretary to the Honorary Consul, who has long played a key role in supporting Thai nationals through consular assistance in Almaty. The meeting also explored potential areas of cooperation between Thailand and Kazakhstan at the local level, particularly in trade, investment, and tourism. This engagement forms part of the Royal Thai Embassy’s mission to strengthen community outreach and cooperation with local partners, with the aim of maintaing the interests of Thai nationals and advancing Thailand-Kazakhstan relations.
