On 7 October 2025, H.E. Mrs. Piyapin Niyomrerks, Ambassador of Thailand to Kazakhstan, welcomed and hosted a dinner in honor of the executives of Thai AirAsia X, led by Mrs. Pattra Boosarawongse, Chief Executive Officer of Thai AirAsia X, on the occasion of their visit to Kazakhstan during 6 - 8 October 2025 to hold discussions with relevant government agencies of Kazakhstan on civil aviation. During this occasion, the Ambassador and Ms. Kanchana Sing-udom, Director of TAT, Moscow Office, exchanged information, views, and experiences on possible avenues of cooperation in commercial aviation between Thailand and Kazakhstan, which will contribute to strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Thai AirAsia X is scheduled to launch its inaugural direct flight on the Bangkok - Almaty route on 1 December 2025, with a frequency of four flights per week. This direct air connection will not only facilitate travel between the peoples of both countries, but will also serve as a significant mechanism in promoting tourism, cultural exchanges, and expanding economic cooperation between Thailand and Kazakhstan.
