On 5 March 2025, H.E. Mrs. Piyapin Niyomrerks, Ambassador of Thailand to Kazakhstan, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Bakayev Alibek Asetovich, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, to present copies of the Letters of Credence and Recall upon her assumption of duty as Ambassador of Thailand to Kazakhstan. The official presentation of the Letters of Credence to H.E. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan will take place at a later date.

          During the meeting, both parties engaged in discussions on ways to strengthen Thailand-Kazakhstan relations and explored avenues to enhance bilateral cooperation in various dimensions. They also exchanged perspectives on multilateral collaboration, particularly within the frameworks of the United Nations and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) where Thailand continues to play a proactive and constructive role, serving as the coordinator for sustainable development and co-coordinator for SMEs development under its Confidence-Building Measures Framework.
