On 14-15 July 2022, H.E. Mr. Chatchawan Sakornsin, Ambassador of Thailand to Kazakhstan, led a delegation of the Royal Thai Embassy to visit Aktau city  with a view to gather information on the work of Aktau Sea Port, Kazakhstan’s biggest sea port on the coast of the Caspian sea. During the visit, Ambassador of Thailand met with representatives of logistics companies to discuss the possibility of goods transportation from Thailand to Kazakhstan via the Caspian route. In addition,  Ambassador also visited Bautino Port, situated at 150 km. north of Aktau city. The Bautino port gives services to ships, operating at the Kashagan Oil Field in the Caspian sea. As part of the visit to Aktau city, Ambassador also met with 9 Thai nationals who work in spa business in Aktau city.
