On 27-30 May 2021 H.E. Lt. Chatchawan Sakornsin, LTN., Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited Turkestan region by the invitation of the Diplomatic Business Club and the Turkestan regional authorities. During the visit, the Ambassador participated in the Great Silk Road – Great Heritage Forum which was co-organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Turkestan regional authorities and Kazakh Tourism to promote tourism, trade as well as investment in Turkestan. On this occasion, the Ambassador of Thailand discussed with the Minister of Culture of Kazakhstan on exploring opportunities to enhance cultural cooperation between the two countries, especially on the occasion the 30^th anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and Kazakhstan in 2022.

          On 30 May 2021, the Ambassador of Thailand further met with Thai citizens who are working in spas in Shymkent. The Ambassador presented them with medical masks, alcohol gels and dry foodstuff to help alleviate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
