On 26 February 2025, Dr. Orathai Phubunlap Gunaseelan, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Astana, took part in a meeting with female Members of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, alongside Heads of Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations accredited to Kazakhstan. The meeting was held at the House of the Majilis, the Lower House of Kazakhstan’s Parliament. During the event, the diplomats toured the Majilis Plenary Hall and discussed the legislative work carried out by female Parliamentarians from both the Senate and the Majilis. The gathering was organized to honor women’s contributions to politics and international affairs in celebration of International Women’s Day on 8 March 2025.
