On 21 March 2026, Dr. Orathai Phubunlap Gunaseelan, Minister-Counsellor of the Royal Thai Embassy in Astana, participated in a discussion between a delegation of teachers, parents, and students from four private schools in Chiang Mai Province, namely, Wichai Wittaya School, Baan Khun Morh School, Rattana Auewittaya School, and Little Candles School and the management of Spectrum International School in Astana. The discussion was constructive, with both sides exchanging views on enhancing educational cooperation, including teacher exchanges, student exchange programmes, and cultural activities, with a view to fostering mutual understanding and strengthening international education capacity.

On this occasion, the Thai delegation commended the strength of Kazakhstan’s education system and expressed interest in expanding cooperation at the school level. Concrete progress has already been observed, including academic exchanges and participation in joint educational activities. The Royal Thai Embassy in Astana stands ready to support and promote educational cooperation at all levels in order to further strengthen relations between Thailand and Kazakhstan.
