On 15 September 2023, H.E. Mr. Chatchawan Sakornsin, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Tajikistan with residence in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Mr. Bobomulloev Saidmurod, Director of the National Museum of Antiquities of the Republic of Tajikistan, jointly presided over the official opening ceremony of the exhibition hall for the Sleeping Buddha of more than 1,600 years old. The hall was renovated with the financial donation from the Royal Thai Government at the amount of 9,500 USD in 2022 as an activity to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Thailand and Tajikistan. The ceremony was joined by the Thai representatives, participating in the Royal Thai Embassy’s project of key resources and minerals in Tajikistan assessment for green technology production to contribute to Thailand’s BCG economic policy as well as the representatives from the Ministry of Culture and local media of the Republic of Tajikistan.
