On 22 September 2025, Dr. Orathai Phubunlap Gunaseelan, Minister-Counsellor, and Ms. Yanisa Chuchotthavorn Gefen, First Secretary and Head of the Consular Section, together with officials of the Royal Thai Embassy in Astana, made an introductory call on Mr. Ismailov Madiyar Galymovich, Head of the Department of Consular Services for Asia, Africa and the Middle East, on the occasion of his assumption of duty.

The two sides engaged in fruitful discussions, with the Embassy representatives introducing the role and responsibilities of the Consular Section, sharing views on the protection of Thai nationals and Kazakhstan’s consular practices, as well as exploring opportunities to enhance bilateral consular cooperation.
