On September 2025, H.E. Mrs. Piyapin Niyomrerks, Ambassador of Thailand to Kazakhstan, welcomed and hosted a luncheon in honour of the delegation of the World Fellowship of Buddhists (WFB) and the World Fellowship of Buddhist Youth (WFBY), led by Mr. Phallop Thaiarry, Vice-President and Secretary-General of the World Fellowship of Buddhists, on the occasion of their visit to Kazakhstan to attend the VIII Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, held from 17 to 18 September 2025.

Ambassador Piyapin exchanged views with the delegation on the Congress, which serves as an important forum for promoting understanding and cooperation among different religions in pursuit of global peace and security, as well as on the role and mission of the World Fellowship of Buddhists in fostering interfaith networks and collaboration at the international level.
