On 13 August 2024, Ambassador Chachawan Sakornsin, Ambassador of Thailand to Kazakhstan, welcomed Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, and the Ministry’s executive team on the occasion of their official visit to Kazakhstan from 13 to 18 August 2024. On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Phumtham held discuss with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, with a view to promoting trade and economic cooperation between Thailand and Kazakhstan, and signed an Agreement on Economic and Trade Cooperation between Thailand and Kazakhstan with the Minister of Trade of Kazakhstan. During the visit, discussions were held with various sectors on the plan to open a Thai Trade Office in Kazakhstan as well as ways and means to further trade activities between Thailand and Kazakhstan.
