On 13 September 2025, H.E. Mrs. Piyapin Niyomrerks, Ambassador of Thailand to Kazakhstan, hosted a dinner in honour of H.E. Mrs. Pham Thai Nhu Mai, Ambassador of Viet Nam to the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the occasion of the completion of her tenure. H.E. Mr. Mohd Adli bin Abdullah, Ambassador of Malaysia to Kazakhstan, and H.E. Mr. Mochamad Fadjroel Rachman, Ambassador of Indonesia to Kazakhstan and Chair of the Astana ASEAN Committee (AAC), together with officials from the respective embassies, also attended the event.

During the event, the Ambassadors of Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia expressed their appreciation to H.E. Pham Thai Nhu Mai for her friendship and for the active role of the Embassy of Vietnam in jointly advancing the work of the AAC. They also exchanged views on ways to further promote cooperation among AAC members and discussed opportunities to raise awareness and understanding of ASEAN among the Kazakhstani public, such as through the ASEAN Summer Festival held in August and future collaborative activities aimed at strengthening friendship and closer relations within the ASEAN framework.
